This year marks the 6th annual High School Business Case Competition, which will be hosted at the Hill School of Business on the campus of the University of Regina.

The SBTA is extremely excited to announce that Rachel Mielke, the Founder and CEO of Hillberg & Berk will be the keynote speaker at the Conference and Case Competition dinner on May 4th.

2015-2016 SBTA Award of Merit

Congratulations to the 2015-2016 SBTA Award of Merit recipient, Cindy Lowe. Cindy is a teacher at Swift Current Comprehensive High School, the current secretary for the SBTA, and the incoming SBTA Vice-President. The SBTA would like to thank Cindy for her commitment to business education in Saskatchewan and her help planning and promoting the SBTA Conference and High School Case Competition. Great work Cindy!

2016 SBTA Trade Show, Dinner, and Networking Event

As part of the 2016 SBTA Conference and High School Business Case Competition, the SBTA will be hosting a trade show on Thursday, May 5th, as part of the SBTA Dinner and Creating Connections Networking Event. The trade show details, and registration form are included below.

This years’ trade show will take place on Thursday May 5, 2016, in Marquis Hall, on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon. The trade show will run prior to the SBTA Dinner where SBTA members, teachers, students, and guests will network and socialize. The dinner opens up the 2016 SBTA Conference and High School Case Competition, which will occur on Friday May 6th.

The trade show is a fantastic opportunity to interact with teachers, students, and those involved in business education. Trade show attendees will have the chance to showcase resources, materials, and products to a large group of business minded educators and students, before they attend the Conference and Case Competition.

The registration fee for the 2016 SBTA Trade Show, Dinner, and Networking Event is 100$. This fee includes the table for the trade show, dinner, the key note presentation delivered by Jane Rooney, and an invitation to attend the Creating Connections Networking Event following the dinner.

The trade show, dinner, and key note address will be hosted at Marquis Hall, on the campus of the University of Saskatchewan. Set up for the trade show will begin at 17h00 with the trade show, networking, dinner, and key note to follow starting at 17h30. The Creating Connections Networking Event will be hosted at Winston’s English Pub & Grill, and will begin at 20h00. SBTA Dinner and Creating Connections Networking Event

On Thursday May 5th, as part of the SBTA Conference and High School Case Competition, the Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association is proud to host the 2016 SBTA Dinner and Creating Connections Networking Event. This year’s keynote speaker is Jane Rooney, the Financial Literacy Leader of Canada. The dinner, including the keynote address, will be hosted at Marquis Hall at the University of Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon.
