Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association Award of Merit
The Award of Merit is awarded annually by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce and the Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contribution towards business education in Saskatchewan.
The nominee must:
- demonstrate a willingness to share business education expertise
- have made personal innovations in business education
- generally promote business education in Saskatchewan
- be involved in professional organizations
- be dedicated to his/her students and the teaching profession
- be recognized by peers as an exemplary business educator, and
- be a former or present member of the Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association
Nominations must be received before April 30th, with the award being presented at the annual spring workshop of the Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association. To nominate, submit the candidate’s name, address, position, and a detailed description of his/her outstanding contribution towards business education. The nominator must also provide his/her name, address, telephone number, and title.
An ad hoc committee comprised of representatives from the Saskatchewan Business Teachers’ Association executive and the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce shall select the recipient.
